  • Joel Hamilton was named chairman of the Winthrop University Board of Trustees in Rock Hill on January 22 – he will honor the late Glenn McCall with a posthumous honorary degree during December commencement.   • Today, the Winthrop Eagles secured a 76-75 win over the Radford Highlanders in Rock Hill with a last-second three-pointer, extending their streak to six wins.
