- ➤ Authorities in the Carolinas are searching for 85-year-old Vincent 'Vince' DePaul Gallegos, who left his home on Ancient Way in Indian Land around 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday and was reported missing at 5:30 p.m.; he was later seen driving his white 2001 Chevrolet Corvette in the Pineville/Matthews area and is described as having cognitive and medical issues. - ➤ On January 30, 2025, the South Carolina Manufacturers Alliance launched its 2025 vision to boost innovation and job creation—local legislators and industry leaders supported the plan during Manufacturing Day celebrations. - ➤ Channel 9’s Michelle Alfini reported that during a heavy rainstorm, Duke Energy opened the floodgates at Cowans Ford Dam on Sept. 27, 2024 so water could move from Lake James to Lake Wateree. Local resident Tom Davis, still rebuilding after Hurricane Helene’s flood, said the action led to forced evacuations downstream — leaving his neighborhood at risk of more floods. WSOC-TV
