- ➤ On March 25, Rock Hill held its annual Volunteer Celebration to honor hundreds of volunteers who provided nearly 18,000 hours of service to Parks, Recreation and Tourism programs. Awards were presented to volunteers including Halle Russell, Shauntoria Currence, Blake Davis, the 2024 BMX Racing World Championships team, and John Coleman, with remarks from PRT Director Mark Sexton and Mayor John Gettys. - ➤ SC Daily Gazette reported that the Senate passed a law on Thursday that will double auto insurance minimums to $50,000 for property damage and $100,000 for injuries — effective two years after the law is enacted. The change means drivers with only the bare minimum will have to pay more for coverage — officials say the update will offer better protection in serious accidents. WRHI
