A 44-year-old man was shot multiple times around 8:00 p.m. on Hickory Lane in York County and taken to Piedmont Medical Center—police say suspect Denareay Morshon Pendergrass turned himself in the next day and is now held without bail as they investigate the motive.

An 18-year-old man from Rock Hill was shot while taking out his trash early Friday morning on Eden Terrace around 1 a.m., sustaining non-life-threatening injuries and prompting a swift police response as authorities investigate the incident and request tips.
