- ➤ Today, law enforcement took Castle Heights Middle School teacher Doug MacAlpine (the track coach at Rock Hill High) into custody and placed him on administrative leave; the school district confirmed no students were involved and said authorities are investigating the matter. WRHI

- ➤ Rock Hill city leaders plan to rezone the 245 acre site of the failed Panthers headquarters to create unified zoning that will attract a new headquarters or manufacturing facility. - ➤ York County Health and Environmental Protection Committee voted 2 to 1 on March 27 on a plan that would remove the long-set recreation tax for unincorporated residents and impose a new countywide 1.5 mill parks tax on all residents—if approved, some city residents may face higher fees and a reduction in youth sports programs.
