  • A Rock Hill resident won a $1 million jackpot from a scratch-off lottery ticket purchased for $10 at Quick Food Mart on East Main Street and shared the news with his wife.   • Rock Hill is celebrating the ongoing Come-See-Me Festival, which began on April 3 and runs through April 12—featuring over 60 events such as a parade, beach bash, road races, and movie night that have drawn more than 100,000 visitors. The event, a cherished tradition since 1962, will conclude with the Mayor’s Frog Jump contest and fireworks on April 12.  Here Rock Hill

ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Rock Hill officials said a house on Deas Street off Cherry Road burned overnight, killing a man and a girl, and firefighters arrived at about 7:30 a.m. on Friday; investigators reported—no foul play is suspected—that the cause is under investigation—coroner findings are pending.  WSOC-TV
  • At around 7:30 a.m. on Friday, firefighters reached a home on Deas Street near Cherry Road in Rock Hill where a fire had self-extinguished and officials found a man and a girl dead inside — Rock Hill Police, Fire and SLED are investigating the cause.  WCCB Charlotte
