- ➤ Two deadly fires claimed the life of 40-year-old Eba Gilmore at the Piedmont Medical Center and the lives of 63-year-old Sammylee Roseborough and his 9-year-old daughter Simaya, a third-grade student at Ebinport Elementary, and Rock Hill residents rallied to support the grieving family (with school counseling available) as authorities continue to investigate the fires (cause remains unknown). - ➤ A house fire in Rock Hill claimed the lives of a 9-year-old girl and her father early Friday morning and left the community and Ebinport Elementary School grieving as firefighters responded around 7:30 a.m.—the investigation continues to determine the cause while support services and fundraisers assist the grieving family. - ➤ Castle Heights Middle School teacher Doug MacAlpine was arrested twice (on March 31 and April 9) on charges including possession of child sexual abuse material and recording a staff member without consent and is now in custody as investigators review evidence. Here Rock Hill
