- ➤ Governor McMaster declared May as South Carolina Hurricane Preparedness Month to urge residents, communities, and businesses to ready themselves for the hurricane season beginning June 1—using the theme 'Don't Wait, Prepare Today' to highlight early action. WRHI

- ➤ Several area soccer players have been selected for the North team in the 2025 North-South Soccer Classic, with Nation Ford’s Eberlee Bolduc and Drew Ruth, Clover’s Ansley Drummond, Catawba Ridge’s Liam Prendergast and Jermaine Smith, and Indian Land’s Camden Hannig and Nyla Mansel joining the contest. The all-star event will be on June 14 at Fraser Field at T.L. Hanna High School in Anderson — a showcase that brings together top state talent for college scouts. WRHI
