- ➤ Dr. Eric Bracy has been named a finalist for the Rock Hill School District superintendent position after Tommy Schmolze’s resignation and he brings 17 years of educational leadership from his role in Johnston County Public Schools. The public meeting held on March 15 allowed community engagement, and the board will make its final decision on June 2 — his competition includes Dr. Deborah Elder and Dr. Joshua P. Starr. - ➤ Over 1,200 community members signed a petition to reinstate Principal Clayton Moton at Dutchman Creek Middle School after the school board voted not to renew his contract for the upcoming school year.
