Rock Hill’s Healthy Over Hungry Cereal Drive collected thousands of cereal boxes—thanks to first responders and volunteers working over a 12-day period—to supply about 20,000 servings for children and families during the summer when free meals are unavailable.

York County halted all work at Silfab Solar on Monday after inspectors found employees working without a certificate of occupancy — the stop work order covers even permitted projects — and Silfab said it is working with county leadership to resolve the violations.

The South Carolina Supreme Court blocked an $18,000 pay raise for state legislators today after a lawsuit by Senator Wes Climer argued the approval process was unconstitutional — the ruling stops increased payments until further court review.
