  • Deputy Devin Mason, aged 27, was killed in an ambush in Lamar early Tuesday at 1:30 a.m.—another deputy was injured and suspect Cameron Ray Dennett was fatally shot during the arrest attempt.  Here Rock Hill

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Today, concerned citizens in Rock Hill gathered as Silfab Solar requested a permit for use of a wastewater plant — local officials will review the request and assess its impact on community resources.  WRHI
  • On July 2nd, residents filled Rock Hill City Hall to protest Silfab Solar's wastewater pretreatment permit over potential hazardous pollutant risks such as chromium, lead and mercury. City officials said the hearing was meant only to gather feedback on permit compliance — they will review the comments before making a decision.  WRHI
