  • Duke Energy announced today that it is awarding $200,000 in grants to organizations helping seniors facing economic challenges in South Carolina. Each group — including Meals on Wheels and the United Way of Sumter, Lee and Clarendon Counties — will get $10,000 to upgrade food delivery or mobility services.  Here Rock Hill

  • Carowinds amusement park in Charlotte is cutting back its hours to 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday next week after York County schools started on August 4, which is expected to lower teen staffing and revenue—many of the park’s 2,500 seasonal workers are high school students.  Here Rock Hill
