Good morning, Rock Hill.

Dr. Rose Jones Davis—a respected Winthrop University alumna known for her work in education and community service—died at age 85 on August 5th.

Kistler-Hardee Funeral Home has provided details for memorial services as the community honors her legacy.

On August 7, police in Rock Hill began investigating after an adult male's body was found in the Catawba River near the Highway 9 bridge in Chester County—search teams responded quickly.

The Rock Hill School District fully staffed its bus drivers for the 2023 school year—ending pandemic shortages and expanding its fleet to 111 buses to ensure reliable student transport.

The district also nearly filled teacher roles and introduced digital apps for real-time bus tracking so that families could plan smoother morning pickups.
