- ➤ TowneBank announced its acquisition of Dogwood State Bank for $476 million and said Dogwood’s CEO will stay on to aid the merger—helping the bank keep its 17 branches in the area. - ➤ Action 9 warned residents today about scam texts falsely claiming an unpaid traffic ticket and urging immediate enforcement—Attorney Jason Stoogenke said he received one of the messages and advised those in doubt to verify with the DMV—alerting locals to ignore these fraudulent alerts. WSOC-TV
