Good morning, Rock Hill.

Lancaster man Roger L.

Baskins, 53, pleaded guilty to murdering Rock Hill businessman Charles Wilburn Presler on May 21 during a family altercation—receiving a 50-year sentence from the court.

Rock Hill is gaining attention today as a road trip destination thanks to attractions in the Olde English District — the area features Glencairn Garden, Historic Brattonsville, and scenic parks that mix arts, history, and local culture.

Visitors can also enjoy diverse dining and shopping options in a region known for its Southern charm.

Leon Boulware has become the new head coach of the Rock Hill Bearcats football team after guiding them to a 31-18 win against River Bluff today—he aims to restore championship discipline as the team prepares to face South Pointe Stallions on August 29.

Today the Hough Huskies ended their season-opening losing streak with a hard-fought 14-10 win over the South Pointe Stallions at Bank of America Stadium, with quarterback Ethan Royal scoring both touchdowns and the defense limiting the opponent to 43 yards and two turnovers.

The team now prepares to face Independence next week—showing renewed strength after past setbacks.

Northwestern Trojans began their season today with a 39-7 win over eighth-ranked Spartanburg—scoring early and featuring a key 100-yard interception return touchdown.

The win boosts their status as promising contenders for another state title after a perfect season last year.
