  • Anne Springs Close Greenway will host its annual Boil, Brew & 'Que fall festival on Saturday, October 18 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Greenway Gateway. The event will feature Southern food from The Dixie Pig, local craft beers from YoCo Brew Trail, live music by Kris Hitchcock and family activities with VIP options including a Lowcountry boil with fresh shrimp from Saltwater Markets and a raffle for a bottle of Pappy Van Winkle bourbon.  WRHI
  • Janice Miller from the City of Rock Hill Freedom Walkway staff and baseball historian Bob Gorman spoke at the 2025 Freedom Walkway event on September 17th—marking a day that celebrated our local heritage.  WRHI

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Riverstone Logistics will relocate its headquarters from Charlotte to Rock Hill’s West White Street with a $16.4 million investment that will create 159 new jobs and start operations in July 2026 — local officials approved job development credits and awarded a $600,000 grant to support building improvements — reinforcing the project's boost to the local economy.  WSOC-TV

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Rock Hill School District reported 33 weapons incidents from 2017 to 2024 which accounted for more than half of all cases in the tri-county area—officials are reviewing safety measures such as weekly screenings and K9 searches to keep students safe.  Here Rock Hill
  • Local students including Bryson Barrett, Kameron Read, and Meredith Reed from Rock Hill were awarded gold stars at The Citadel—earning a spot on the dean’s list for achieving a 3.7 GPA in the spring 2025 semester on September 17.  WRHI

  • Solicitor David Stumbo announced his campaign for South Carolina Attorney General. He joins a competitive primary with Jason Elliott and Chip Campsen—focusing on crime prevention, public corruption, and protecting constitutional rights.  WRHI

  • High school football coaches from York, Lancaster and Chester counties named Week Three Tri-County Players of the Week, with J’zavien Currence selected as 5A/4A Player, Quinn Kelly as Fort Mill Offensive Player and Casey Fikis as Catawba Ridge Defensive Player. Additional awards went to Anthony Baxter, Alex Johnson, Noah Hardy, Justin Hayward, Kam McGill, Nick Carter and Damias Seagars—recognizing top talent in each category.  WRHI
