  • South Carolina legislators have not been paid for months after state Sen. Wes Climer sued over a new in-district compensation raise he said violates the state constitution— a state Supreme Court ruling halted both the pay increase and the $1,000 monthly payment. They will only receive funds once the case is resolved or the 2026 session begins.  Queen City News
