Good morning, Rock Hill.

A stray pig named Petey was captured by local residents using treats & traps and transferred to Lancaster Farm Sanctuary yesterday, where he will receive veterinary care and rest from roaming near busy roads.

Local authorities said efforts will continue to rescue two other stray pigs reported in nearby townships.

The Western Carolinas are set for a vibrant fall color season despite Hurricane Helene causing damage and tree loss—experts say high elevations will peak from late September to early October while lower areas and Rock Hill will see peak colors later in October or early November.

Rock Hill is bracing for Tropical Depression Nine—expected to bring thunderstorms and an 80% chance of rain today with temperatures ranging from 76°F to 63°F.

Residents should stay updated on local conditions and prepare for potential power outages.
