- ➤ On October 15, the South Carolina Education Lottery reported that Santana McCoy of Engelhard won $219,685 on the Bison Bonanza game while an anonymous winner from Woodruff claimed $2.5 million on a scratch-off ticket—lottery proceeds help fund education programs. Here Rock Hill
- ➤ A gas line rupture along West Liberty Street occurred yesterday during a construction project, prompting police to close the road for safety while emergency crews contained the leak and reopened traffic at 1:30 p.m.—the school district was notified to ensure student safety. Here Rock Hill

- ➤ Southern Street Development has announced plans to redevelop an abandoned storefront at East White Street and South Charlotte Avenue bought for $190,000 and left vacant for five years.
