  • Publix is recalling its Rich and Creamy Vanilla Ice Cream because some half-gallon containers with a sell-by date of June 19th have mismatched lids—this could expose shoppers to an undeclared egg allergen. Shoppers can return the product to their local store for a full refund, and no illnesses have been reported.  WSOC-TV

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Parents at Ascent Classical School in Rock Hill protested Tuesday morning after key staff, including the headmaster, were fired for performance issues. They demanded better communication + transparency as the new interim headmaster Jennifer Mognett, previously linked to a controversial school, took charge and some families unenrolled.  Here Rock Hill
  • Fort Mill Schools will hold a parent meeting on Tuesday at 5 p.m. in the Nation Ford High School auditorium to update on the new Flint Hill elementary and middle school sites and review air quality findings from Citadel EHS—parents may ask questions during the session.  WSOC-TV
  • The South Carolina Education Lottery announced winning numbers for Pick 3 Evening, Pick 3 Plus FIREBALL, Cash Pop, and Palmetto Cash 5 on October 16, giving players multiple chances to win prizes while funding education.
