  • York County Sheriff's Office is inviting local adults aged 18 and older to apply for next year's Citizens Academy — the program has 25 seats for residents to learn how the sheriff's office works and share ideas to improve county service — the academy will run from Feb. 9 to March 30.  WSOC-TV

REAL ESTATE NEWS

  • A Rock Hill article explains that ice dams form when warm air melts roof snow, which then refreezes at the eaves, and advises homeowners to improve insulation, ventilation, and roof protection — using radiant barriers, clearing snow, and installing ice and water shields — to avoid leaks and costly damage.  Here Rock Hill
