- ➤ Winthrop University will launch a new aviation program in fall 2026 in collaboration with Aviation Career Education Services Flight School and Rock Hill airport— the program will offer a four-year Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Science that combines classroom lessons with flight training to help ease the pilot shortage.
