  • Rock Hill mourns the loss of Bobby 'B.S.' Plair, Sr., a 98-year-old musician and WWII veteran who passed away on November 23.   • A Winthrop Poll shows South Carolina shoppers will spend an average of $1,007 on holiday gifts this season — with lower-income households planning to spend less and higher-income households expecting more — which may help local businesses in Rock Hill. GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The North Carolina Department of Transportation announced plans for a $3.2 billion project that will add express lanes along 11 miles of I-77 — from the South Carolina line to Uptown Charlotte — to ease heavy traffic from over 160,000 daily vehicles.
