  • Catawba Ridge High School's marching band from Fort Mill performed in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on November 27 in New York and played music from National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation with a student acting as Clark Griswold. The 180-member band had won a state championship last month and represented their community.  WSOC-TV

BUSINESS NEWS

  • NC Quick Pass transponders are now sold at five Harris Teeter locations in South Carolina — including one in Rock Hill — and mark the first time customers can buy them outside of North Carolina to save 50% on toll roads when activated.  WCCB Charlotte

  • On November 27, Rock Hill experienced clear skies and a refreshing chill as temperatures started at 27°F and rose to 52°F—prompting residents to enjoy outdoor picnics and cozy gatherings while local cafes saw an increase in warm drink sales.   • On November 24, 2025, the Catawba Ridge High School boys' basketball team won 55-49 over Piedmont High School, ending a two-game losing streak and raising their record to 5-8.
