- ➤ York County has announced plans for a new public park in Tega Cay that will enhance recreation and support local business. Construction will begin in the spring over a 55-acre site (between Stonecrest Boulevard and Dam Road) and will take about four years, with community input welcomed. Here Rock Hill

- ➤ The Museum of York County hosted the Decomposers Glow art exhibit featuring glowing snail and mushroom sculptures by local artist Meredith Connelly. The exhibit ran from May 10 to November 10, 2024 (at the museum in Rock Hill). Here Rock Hill
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Rock Hill residents face a Lake Wind Advisory today from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. as breezy conditions producing winds up to 20 km/h (which may affect water safety) and patchy dense fog could lower visibility. Here Rock Hill
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Piedmont Medical Center will assume operations of the River Hills—Lake Wylie EMS in January 2026 to address financial struggles and boost training and support for local emergency responders. The EMS will keep its current branding while integration details are finalized. Here Rock Hill
