- ➤ The Fort Mill School District approved a policy letting employee children from outside its boundaries – including those from Rock Hill – enroll next school year. A fee of $500 applies for local residents and $1,500 for North Carolina residents. Here Rock Hill

- ➤ South Carolina's new liquor liability law took effect January 1, 2026, letting bars and restaurants lower coverage from $1 million to $500,000 if they stop serving alcohol before midnight (with mandatory server training and ID scanners) to ease costs and boost safety for local businesses.
