- ➤ Death row inmate James Robertson from Rock Hill wants to represent himself so he can be executed after his best friend and four other inmates were put to death, but a federal judge has delayed his request by 45 days—appointing a lawyer to check if he understands the risks—while a psychiatric evaluation is set to take place. - ➤ The South Carolina Department of Social Services has brought back the Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program to help seniors get fresh produce from local farmers’ markets starting June 1—qualifying seniors must apply in person at approved local organizations using proof of age, residency, and income to receive five $10 checks.
